 The ST2900FIP was designed for quick and easy deployment. It is a turnkey package which incorporates the Globalstar GSP-2900 fixed satellite phone. All components are included for quick and easy deployment; all contained in a watertight Pelican 1620 case with wheels for ease of shipping and transport.
The electronic equipment is housed in a NEMA enclosure. 55' of coax cable is included, which should satisfy most installation requirements. All connections pre-wired to N-type bulkhead connectors on the outside of the case and antenna mounting bracket. The connections are color coded for transmit and receive lines. The kit also includes a corded and cordless handset system. The corded handset can be used alone with no power requirements, though with the cordless handset, power is required. The RS232 data port offers e-mail and internet connectivity at real-world speeds when using Globalstar Express Data.
 The unit contains a battery backup, which when charged provides 24 hours standby and 3.5 hours of talk time. It can be deployed in an area even without A.C. power in an emergency situation.
This complete plug and play package does not require technical expertise to install. It is cost-effective alternative to the basic ST-2900 unit as it saves installation time and material.
